According to the MARCQI website, the Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI) is a group of orthopedic surgeons and medical professionals dedicated to improving the quality of care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement procedures in Michigan. MARCQI has created a statewide quality improvement infrastructure by developing a consortium of hospitals in Michigan to engage in quality improvement activities for hip and knee joint replacement surgery procedures. By collecting data and building a statewide registry of arthroplasty procedures, MARCQI helps hospitals and providers deliver the best quality of care for knee and hip replacement patients.
GAP Healthcare and Avicenna Medical Systems help providers improve compliance with patient outcomes reporting by offering outsourced PRO services to participating hospitals at a fraction of the cost in comparison to in-house programs. In compliance with MARCQI requirements, patient survey data is collected beginning with pre-surgical assessment and at pre-defined timelines post-surgery.
