VA Faces Pivotal Moment With EHR After Months of Lingering Usability Problems

HHS Will Send $250M in Grants for Vaccine Equity Push

HHS is offering $250M in grantsto improve healthcare literacy and uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine in underserved populations, the agency said Monday. The funding is available to cities, counties and other subdivisions and is expected to fund 30 urban projects and 42 rural projects over the next two years. Applications are open through April 20.

Mobile Health Apps Leak Sensitive Data Through APIs, Report Finds

“Recovering hacker” Alissa Knight calls personal health information the most valuable data on the dark web. Knight partnered with mobile security company Approovto hack 30 mobile health apps to highlight the threats they face through application program interfaces (APIs). All of the apps were found to be vulnerable to API attacks, and some allowed access to electronic health records (EHRs).
